Connor is a Project Assistant on the Climate Analytics team contributing to the application of the Economics in Climate Adaptation (ECA) methodology in project countries. He contributes to the Analytics Team's report preparations, policy review, and workshop coordination through comprehensive literature research, data collection, and climate risk analysis. Additionally, he is responsible for coordinating Capacity Building and Training of Trainers programs to train local experts in ECA and CLIMADA in cooperation with GIZ Pakistan and organizing periodic training webinars focusing on Climate Risk in Pakistan.
Prior to MCII, Connor worked for the Institute for Technology in the Tropics and Subtropics (ITT) at the TH Köln where he contributed to the writing of an EU Horizons project proposal for Climate Change Adaptation in Southern Africa. Additionally, he has worked as a student assistant for ICLEI’s Climate Action Team, where he coordinated the joint CDP-ICLEI Track Database and was involved with the annual Climate Action Plan Analysis.
Connor holds a Master's degree in Natural Resource Management from TH Köln (University of Applied Sciences) and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from the Harold Hamm School of Geology & Geological Engineering, University of North Dakota, USA. His research interests include Nature-based Solutions, Climate Adaptation, Disaster Risk Management, and Capacity Building/Development.
