MCII is proud to announce the official launch of the Livelihood Protection Policy (LPP) in Jamaica!

This parametric microinsurance product is designed to protect Jamaica’s farmers, fisherfolk, vendors, tourism workers, and micro-entrepreneurs from the financial impacts of extreme weather,  providing fast payouts and supporting stronger climate resilience.

This launch builds on more than a decade of collaboration under the CRAIC project with CCRIF SPC, the ILO’s Impact Insurance Facility, UWI, and Guardian General Insurance Limited. Together, these partners have worked to close the protection gap for low-income and climate-vulnerable communities across the region.
