The Climate and Disaster Risk Finance and Insurance (CDRFI) community needs research and evidence to identify the most impactful and cost-effective solutions, while also creating new innovations to leverage capital and address the most pressing risk management needs.

The Evidence Roadmap was created by researchers, donors, conveners, implementers, governmental and civil society representatives, and other CDRFI expert stakeholders from the CDRFI community and for the CDRFI community. Learn more about the Evidence Roadmap here.

Building on the InsuResilience Global Partnership’s Pro-Poor Principles and addressing one of main objectives of InsuResilience vision 2025, the roadmap increases the evidence base for CDRFI and moves the focus from innovation to learning.

The Evidence Roadmap aims to gather the most compelling and robust evidence on what works in climate and disaster risk finance and insurance. This will ultimately improve the tangible difference CDRFI can make to the lives of poor and vulnerable people. The Roadmap will guide research and evidence-based activities into the CDRFI arena in the coming years, gathering support behind a common research agenda.
