Our experts, Soenke Kreft and Dirk Kohler, recently published a new article, ‘Climate Risk Insurance: From Policy to Practice’, in the Institute of Insurance Economics Trendmonitor. The article discusses the role insurance can play in improving society’s resilience, especially financial resilience, to climate change impacts. The article gives an overview of the political mobilization on CRI and its implementation through public-private and private partnerships. Additionally, the article formulates the expectations towards the public sector and the insurance industry.
