Angela John works as a Project Assistant at UNU-EHS, where she provides communication and organizational support, and contributes to the outreach activities of the MCII e.V. as well as the CLIMER programme.

Angela holds a strong interest in global climate governance, particularly in projects that advance adaptation and resilience-building in vulnerable contexts. She has previous experience in the field of Climate and Disaster Risk Finance and Insurance (CDRFI) through her work with the Global Shield Against Climate Risks initiative, where she gained key insights into the role of CDRFI as an adaptation tool in vulnerable countries and contributed to the communications and strategy team.

Angela earned her Master’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Witten/Herdecke University, majoring in International Politics. Originally from New Delhi, India, her academic research explored the influence of social media on communal violence in North India.
